RAMADAN

It's my first time in life to try Ramadan. Today is second day. I feel very good, except that it's very hard to think about anything else besides food and water! I'm trying to keep myself busy with my projects, cleaning or learning, but the pictures of creamy pasta and crusty pizza keep coming to my mind.
My head never aches, but now because of the lack of water, it started to slightly ache. I sinned and drank water today, because I felt the blackout coming. I think my body needs some water, I don't want to harm myself.
Almost every other volunteer in our house is taking part of Ramadan, others have the headache, too.

Anyway, very cool experience!

DRAWINGS

Instead of using pictures downloaded from internet for our Instagram page, I drew them.

AARON

He's name is Aaron, he's the best dog in the world! (All the dogs are the best.)

PLURAL OF SHEEP IS SHEEP

You can't see it from this video, but this guy in a car was casually taking his sheep for a walk. Just to eat nearby. I have never seen that sheep can follow a car so decently!

CLAPPIDY CLAP

Easter is soon and usually it's a national holiday and people don't go to work. Us, volunteers, don't have to work either. We wanted to work on these days and use our holidays when we are not in red zone anymore. (We live in a world of pandemic, red zone means that you should stay at home as much as possible.)
We asked if we can have our holidays later. Organization gave us a challenge - if we are able to learn this clapping exercise, we can have our holiday later. This is the result.

LE AROMATICHE DI GIRAFI

Part of my project is to grow plants. We have the chance to use the farmland of  Le Aromatiche di Girafi. Link to their website.
Yesterday was my first time to go visit. I was shocked when I arrived. It's enormous wonderland! Highest point of Mussomeli and 360 degrees view of the landscapes.

There's a 1000 years old winemaking device. This was used like this - the bigger pit was filled with grapes and people were stomping on them to press the juice out. The smaller pit which in this picture is filled with water, was filled with grape juice and after some fermentation process the wine was ready.

TIME MANAGEMENT

Today we were introduced to tool which helps to prioritize your to-do list.

It was invented by the 34th president of United States, D. Eisenhower.

We had to think about the things we said we don't have time to do.
It was pretty hard exercise for me because I just don't use tis phrase. If I don't want to do something, I will still do it or come up with something else. Telling you don't have the time to do something is just a generic excuse and usually people hide the real reason behind it.

Only difficulty is about something that is not important, but is urgent. When it's urgent, it is important, right?

I googled it and I got the examples of answers.

  • Co-worker who comes by your desk during your prime working time to ask a favor.
  • Mom drops in unannounced and wants your help with a chore.
What I understood, it is something that somebody else does, it's not about YOUR time management skills. You could always say no if you have something more important to do. It's about your choice and nothing else. If anybody has different opinion about this, I'd be happy to hear about it.
